Gratitude Feels Great!

During a soft skills class at the College of Southern Nevada, students were urged to write about the skills they wanted to master. “Writing about a skill forces a person to think, research, draft an outline and internalize the subject matter,” I said. “If you want to be real good at a specific skill, write about it.”

Then Youssef Elkehel, a CSN student, took this advice to heart. He sent me a Thank You e-mail message which included his own written synopsis about customer service and soft skills.

I was impressed! Youssef conveyed his gratitude with his time, effort and creativity.

Gratitude is a terrific motivator. When students say “Thank You” in their own special way, I feel energized to keep going.

Youssef message was simple and eloquent: “You are a gift to all HVAC people. Thank you again.”

It doesn’t get much better than that!
